Sarah Parent
Pottery sounds so simple. People have been using it for eons, but it can also be art. Well made pottery captures your senses, it turns a cup of coffee into a moment of reflection and lifts a bowl of simple fare into fine dining. We need these moments of art in everyday life, time to feed our souls.
After taking a ceramics class on a whim with her best friend, Sarah became addicted to making. Throwing on the wheel is difficult to master yet ever so rewarding. Taking a piece from the kiln that captures beauty makes you stop and consider for a moment. It can make you appreciate the small moments in life.
Sarah is a Potter in Encinitas CA She has a degree from University of Washington in Ceramics and has been doing Pottery since 2007. Sarah has 4 kiddos and two sister tabbies that rule the house. She also enjoys hiking, biking, cooking, making excellent coffee at home and an occasional dram of whiskey.
